Well I am back, sorry long time no talk, been kind of busy with the new little man. He is home, happy, healthy and so perfect. I love him. Morgan is doing great as well, we are just in the transition period of getting used to all night feedings and sleep patterns. Our little man has been wonderful so far, he is sleeping well and eating well, and we are thankful for that! We are encountering a number of firsts right now, since this whole parenting thing is new to us, but I think we are doing a darn good job(and loving every minute of it) Morgans mom is out here staying with us right now. She has been a big help with cooking, cleaning, and of course she wont put Hudson down, and we truely do appreciate it. I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has sent Congrats messages, cards, gifts, etc. WE are very lucky to have so many people that love us and already love Hudson. The other night Beth(Morgans mom) and I were sitting on the couch talking and she said "You will learn to do everything with Hudson in your arms; cook, clean, make beds, etc. " With that being said, I felt like I had to share a story with you, mind you, it may be funnier to me with my love of this lil guy and lack of sleep at times, but here you go.
I was home watching Hudson by myself when Morg and Beth went to town for a couple hours the other night. We were just chillin, watching the Cubs game( Yes he is already a DIE HARD Cubby fan for life) when I fed him and he passed out on my chest. It was around 8 or so and I was hungry, so I laid him in his crib so I could grab a bite to eat. I went into the fridge, grabbed some pizza and put it into the Microwave for a little snack. I hit the button.....33 seconds..... Ding...pizza done, I then added my Nacho Cheese from Pizza Hut(best ever) and put it back into to heat the cheese for 18 seconds......ding....I poured a drink and sat it on the coffee table, went back into the kitchen for my food and ....Wah Wahh Wahhhh....Hudson crying..., I reluctantly put my food back into the microwave and grabbed him and rocked him for a lil, he passed back out in about 20 minutes, so back to the food. I went to the microwave, hit the button....33 seconds.....Ding...pizza done. I grabbed my plate, went over and sat down, and .....Wah Wahh Wahhh....hudson crying again....I put the pizza back into microwave, still havent had a chance to even taste this fabulous groumet dinner of loft over pizza covered in Nacho Cheese(best ever), and went and got Hudson again... I decided this time that he may be hungery, so I took in a bottle of milk from Morgan and fed the little guy. The whole time I was seeing his face and the happiness of his belly being filled, and all I could hear is my belly growling from borderline starvation. Once he was changed and fed, I rocked him and he fell back to sleep...sound asleep... I laid him back into his crib and went back to the microwave....hit the button.....33 seconds....Ding.....pizza done. I quickly grabbed my food, ran the couch and started eating...about 3 bites in....you guessed it.....Wah Wahh Wahhh.....I went into the nursery and grabbed Hudson again....This time I thought of what Beth had told me, only a few hours before...." you will learn to do everything with Hudson in your arms" I brought him into the living room with me, sat him on my chest and finished eating my pizza....which was by the way, cold again and the crust was rock hard from the reheating like 20 times, but it was thing that I had ever eaten at that moment! I guess the take home here is our life has changed and we are changing with it. We love it and are embracing the little things that you really dont think of when you dont have a baby.
I am gonna leave now because I think that Hudson just woke up, but I will post again soon...I promise....well probably not until this weekend or so..but I will...
I will end with this......Hudson is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to Morgan and I and I cannot wait until everyone gets to meet this Perfect little man, and LOVE him as much as we do.

Follow-up Post
Well, it has been like a week now since I posted my first thoughts. I figured I better put another post or I will lose all the avid readers(2) that I have (Morgan, Ashley) haha. Well anyway, it is Sunday and we really just rolled out of bed and are hanging with doggies. We are on the last leg of this pregnancy race and are both anxiously awaiting the arrival of Hudson Avery. This past week has really been up and down for us. When we last talked we were heading to the Resort for the Fourth of July weekend, Morgs and I had a good time there, a little vacation only 15 minutes from our house! I then had my boss with me on Monday, Tuesday and altough I dont mind him riding with me all day, it still just kind of throws off my normal routine and adds a little stress. Then on Wednesday, I had started feeling like crap all of a sudden, so I had to take off a half day for illness. By Thursday I was feeling better and was ready to get back in the daily grind and still just waiting for this kid to get here already!! Friday was another tester for our family, Morgan had a baby appt in the early afternoon, around that same time I got a call from Morgans mom that informed me that her aunt Sophie had passed away. I was dreading that conversation with Morgan, and waited until she was out of her appt to let her know. I do want to say thank you for everyone that has given her your well wishes and nice messages she has gotten from all. We will truely miss Sophie, she was an amazing women. She was actually the first person from Morgans family that I met. She was always so strong, giving, sweet, and smiling, even though you know that she was hurting and fighting. I know that it has been hard on Morgan not being able to go back home to Indy for Sophies arrangements, but with her current state of having a huge belly that is ready to pop, it is just not a possibility.
Well I am going to go for now, I have a couple of errands to run, then I am going to put ALOT of work in on this Sunday........on the golf course with Brad.......duh, you think I am working on a Sunday.....it is a day of rest!
Until later......cross your fingers that this baby will come sooner then later....I know we are!!

My First Post!
Well I have no idea if anyone will actually look at this blog since my wife is pretty much the blog queen and fills everyone in on most stuff that goes on with us, but I thought what the heck it could be fun and I may bring a different perspective.
It is the Fourth of July and I am getting ready to go out and get some yard work done, clean the pool and filters, and install a new AC unit in the garage for the dogs, so they can stay cool when they are outside with access to the garage. I would have to say, it is a pretty exciting start to the 4th, haha.
As you all know, we are in the ending stages of pregnancy for the first time. It has been an amazing time so far with the changing of Morgan's body, mood, eating habits, mood, eating habits, haha, just joking, she has been really great throughout the whole process. If you know Morgan, then you would be happy to know that she has been terrific and not to say I have been surprised, but....well.....I was very surprised. I honestly thought that it may have been a lot harder on her and that she would have been a little more moody then she actually has been. Now there have been times when I knew that she was being completely crazy and she couldn't help that, but overall she has been fine. She is now starting to wind down with everything going on in her life. She is going to be shutting down work for awhile, she has found that at this point, she gets really tired really fast doing most things. We are so excited to get Hudson here, so I can actually play with him, and Morgan cant hog him all to herself inside her belly.
Well I guess that is really all for the first post on this thing, I have to go get some stuff done so I can enjoy the rest of the day and weekend. We are going to go to an Old Western Town tonight for dinner and fireworks show, then tomorrow we are getting a room at a resort that is about 20 minutes from our house. The place is awesome, it has a bunch of pools, and water slides, and a casino that is attached. I will keep everyone updated on the upcoming days and weeks and this will be my way to add my two cents. Later all!
